What is it?
Alka-Seltzer Effervescent Tablets Composition: Active ingredients: Acetylsalicylic acid 324mg Excipients: Anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, povidone 25, sodium saccharin, lemon flavoring, lime flavoring, dimethicone, calcium silicate, sodium docusate, sodium benzoate. Indications for use: For mild to moderate pain. Elevated body temperature. Pay attention - indications for use in children and adults (see section "Safety Measures"). Dosage and administration: Dissolve the tablet/tablets in a glass of water and drink. Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: The single dose is 1-2 effervescent tablets, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets (2,592g). If necessary, a single dose can be taken at intervals of 4-8 hours, up to 3 times a day. For the elderly: The usual dose is 1 tablet, for stronger pain or fever, they take 2 tablets. In both cases, if necessary, administration can be repeated, but with an interval of at least 4 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets. Duration of treatment (without doctor's consultation) should not exceed 5 days as an analgesic and 3 days as an antipyretic. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other drugs of the ASA group or other components of the preparation Active peptic ulcer Hemorrhagic diathesis Concomitant use of methotrexate at a dose of 15mg or more per week Asthma caused by salicylates or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Severe renal and/or hepatic insufficiency Severe chronic heart failure Pregnancy (third trimester) Children and adolescents under 15 years of age. Storage conditions: Not exceeding 25°C, out of reach of children.
