What is it?
Mometasone Ointment 0.1% 30g Tube Composition: 1 g of ointment contains 1 mg of mometasone furoate. Indications: Mometasone ointment is indicated for the treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis (e.g., atopic dermatitis), inflammatory and pruritic manifestations. Contraindications: Mometasone ointment is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Dosage and Administration: Apply a thin film of mometasone ointment to the affected skin areas once daily. Do not use occlusive dressings with mometasone ointment unless directed by a physician. It should not be applied to diaper areas if the child still wears diapers or plastic pants, as these constitute occlusive dressings. Information for Patients: The preparation should be used as directed by your doctor. It is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Use the preparation only for the condition for which it was prescribed. Do not bandage or otherwise cover the treated skin area with an occlusive dressing unless directed by a physician. Parents of pediatric patients should be advised not to use mometasone ointment for the treatment of diaper dermatitis. Mometasone ointment should not be applied to diaper areas, as diapers or plastic pants constitute occlusive dressings. As with other corticosteroids, therapy should be discontinued when control is achieved. If no improvement is seen within 2 weeks, consult your doctor. Do not use other corticosteroid-containing products concurrently with mometasone ointment without consulting your doctor. Storage Conditions: Store at room temperature below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children, in the original packaging.
