What is it?
Composition: Amoxicillin trihydrate + Clavulanic acid Indications: Clavomed is indicated in adults and children for the treatment of the following infections: Acute bacterial sinusitis (appropriately confirmed diagnosis); Acute otitis media; Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (appropriately confirmed diagnosis); Community-acquired pneumonia; Cystitis; Skin and soft tissue infections, particularly cellulitis (inflammation of subcutaneous fatty tissue), animal bites, severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis; Bone and joint infections, particularly osteomyelitis. Official guidelines on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents should be considered. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substances, to any penicillin group medicinal product or to any of the excipients in the preparation; History of immediate-type hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. anaphylaxis), associated with the use of other beta-lactam antibiotics, e.g. cephalosporins, carbapenems or monobactams; History of jaundice-hepatic dysfunction associated with amoxicillin-clavulanic acid combination. Dosage and administration: Dosage: Doses are stated in terms of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid combination, unless otherwise stated for each component individually. When selecting the dose for the treatment of a specific infection, the following factors should be considered: the likely pathogens and their presumed susceptibility to antibacterial agents; the severity and location of the infection; the patient's age, body weight and renal function; If necessary, the use of other pharmaceutical forms of the preparation should be considered, for example, containing higher doses of amoxicillin and/or a different ratio of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid. Pharmaceutical form: Powder for oral suspension 125mg-31.25mg-5ml. 80ml dark glass bottle with a plastic measuring cap. 1 bottle with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box. Storage conditions: Store in a dry place, inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 25C. The prepared suspension should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 10C and used within 7 days. Description: Whitish powder or granulated powder with a sweet taste and fruity aroma. Dispensing conditions: Pharmaceutical product group II, dispensed with prescription form #3.
