What is it?
Composition Active substances: Amoxicillin trihydrate and Potassium clavulanate. 1 sachet contains: 1148 mg Amoxicillin trihydrate (equivalent to 1 g Amoxicillin) 148.9 mg Potassium clavulanate (equivalent to 125 mg Clavulanic acid) Excipients: Silicon dioxide, Sucrose, Xanthan gum, Sodium saccharin, Orange powder. Indications Amoxiclav-Denk is used for the treatment of the following infections: Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (otitis media, acute sinusitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia) Kidney and lower urinary tract infections Genital infections Note: Treatment of pneumonia in severe cases should be initiated parenterally. Use should be in accordance with international guidelines. Contraindications Allergy to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid or other components. History of allergic reaction to beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins). History of liver problems or jaundice after taking Amoxiclav-Denk. Pregnancy Amoxicillin intake in pregnant women may temporarily reduce the level of estradiol and related components. Dosage and administration Always on the recommendation of a doctor. Questions or uncertainties: Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Dosage depends on the patient's age, weight, kidney function, severity of infection and pathogen. Adults (weight ≥40 kg): 1 sachet 2-3 times a day. Doses should be taken at regular intervals, with 12-hour intervals if taken twice a day. Elderly patients: Also 1 sachet 2-3 times a day, without kidney and liver dysfunction. Patients with liver dysfunction: Regular monitoring, discontinuation of treatment if necessary. Before administration, the contents of the sachet should be dissolved in half a glass of water. The best effect is achieved immediately at the start of or after a meal. Storage Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Shelf life: 36 months. Store at ≤30°C, protected from moisture and light.
