What is it?
Anaferon belongs to homeopathic medicines with antiviral effects. This preparation is quite controversial, as there is no evidence that its principle of action truly boosts immunity in fighting viruses. Nevertheless, the manufacturer has published the effectiveness of Anaferon in several scientific journals, although they do not have authoritative status. Despite many discrepancies, Anaferon is used in medicine as a homeopathic antiviral agent. The manufacturer claims that Anaferon is effective for the following conditions: ARVI; acute and chronic herpes infection; cytomegalovirus infection; prevention of ARVI and influenza; complex treatment of combined diseases - viral and bacterial. Formal release and action of Anaferon The principle of action of Anaferon is based on the fact that antibodies to human gamma interferon are obtained with the help of rabbit immunity, which become the main active substance of the preparation and, according to the manufacturer, have immunomodulatory properties. Today, scientists do not know how these antibodies can regulate immunity. Along with this, it should be taken into account that Anaferon is a homeopathic preparation and, therefore, its main substance is diluted 1:99 (from 12 to 50 times). Today, this preparation exists only in tablet form: there are no Anaferon drops or Anaferon suppositories. Anaferon tablets are convenient for those who need help with the prevention of viral diseases, as tablets are easier to take outside the home than suppositories. There are tablets for both adults and children. The difference between them is the amount of dilution of the main substance. How to take Anaferon for adults? Since Anaferon can be used as a preventive and therapeutic agent, there are dosages and regimens, and many people have the question of how to take Anaferon. Taking Anaferon for prevention. During an epidemic, to increase the chances of avoiding illness, it is recommended to take 1 tablet per day (dissolve completely under the tongue) for 3 months. Taking Anaferon is not related to meals. To prevent genital herpes relapses, Anaferon is taken once every six months. Taking Anaferon for treatment. For ARVI, Anaferon should be taken immediately from the first signs: the frequency of use depends on the effectiveness of the preparation. For the first two hours, Anaferon should be taken 1 tablet every half hour. Then take 3 more tablets per day, distributing them evenly in time. On the second day of illness, Anaferon is prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day until recovery. In case of genital herpes, Anaferon is taken for the first 8 days, 8 tablets from day 4 to 5, 6 tablets from day 6 to 7, 5 tablets from day 8 to 9, 10 tablets from day 11 to 4, and from day 12 to 21 days - 3 tablets.
