Name - Analgin Maxi Powder for Oral Solution 1000mg Sachet #20 Use Analgin Maxi contains metamizole, which has a strong analgesic and antipyretic effect and moderate anti-inflammatory action. Indications Analgin Maxi is used: - For short-term treatment of pain of various origins and intensities, including headache, toothache, painful menstruation, joint and muscle pain and inflammation, arthritis (inflammatory diseases of the joints), neuralgia (pain due to nerve damage); post-traumatic and postoperative pain; spasmodic pain of the kidneys and bile ducts when other agents are ineffective or contraindicated. - For rapid reduction of high body temperature when other medications do not work, or when they are contraindicated. If the patient does not feel better after 3-5 days of using the medication, or if the condition worsens, they should seek medical attention. Contraindications Analgin Maxi should not be used in the following cases: - Allergy (hypersensitivity) to metamizole or any other ingredient of this medicine (listed above); - Allergy (hypersensitivity) to other pyrazolone group medications; - Allergy to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs; - Rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal mucosa and nasal cavity), urticaria, asthma; - Diseases of the hematopoietic system; - Bone marrow diseases; - Porphyria (a rare hereditary disease associated with impaired hemoglobin production); - Genetic deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; - Last trimester of pregnancy. Dosage and administration The medicine should be taken according to the recommendation of a doctor or pharmacist. Dosage depends on the intensity of pain or fever and individual sensitivity to Analgin Maxi. It is recommended to choose the lowest dose necessary to control pain and fever. Recommended dose for adults and children over 15 years of age: Children over 15 years of age and adults (weighing more than 53 kg) can take 1 sachet as a single dose up to four times a day. The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 15 years of age is 4 sachets of effervescent powder (equivalent to 4000 mg). Use in children and adolescents Analgin Maxi is not recommended for adolescents and children under 15 years of age, as they require medication forms with lower content of the active substance. Elderly patients with general poor health/kidney impairment In elderly patients with general poor health/kidney dysfunction, the dose should be reduced, as the excretion of metamizole metabolites is slowed down in such patients.
