What is it?
Composition: 250 L.E. Soft Capsules Each capsule contains: Active substance: Sulodexide L.E. 250 Excipients: Miglyol 812, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Precipitated silica. 600 L.E. 2ml Solution for Injection Each ampoule contains: Active substance: Sulodexide L.E. 600 Excipients: Sodium chloride, Water for injections Pharmacotherapeutic classification: Anticoagulant, heparin-like Therapeutic indications: Chronic venous ulcers, phlebopathy, deep vein thrombosis. Atherosclerosis of peripheral arteries with risk of thrombus formation. Angiopathies in diabetes mellitus: microangiopathy (nephropathy, retinopathy, neuropathy) and macroangiopathy (diabetic foot, encephalopathy, cardiomyopathy). Acute myocardial infarction (for secondary prevention). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Since the molecular structure is similar to heparin, Angioflux should not be prescribed to patients sensitive to heparin or heparinoids. Hemorrhagic diathesis. Precautions: In all cases where treatment is carried out with anticoagulants, periodic monitoring of hemo-coagulation parameters is recommended. Pregnancy and lactation: In pregnant women and very young children, the medication is prescribed only if its efficacy is essential, under the direct supervision of the treating physician. For safety reasons, it is recommended that the patient does not take the medication during pregnancy, even though toxicological studies on fetuses have not shown embryo-fetal toxicity. Interaction with other drugs: Since sulodexide is a heparin-like molecule, simultaneous administration may increase the anticoagulant effect of heparin and oral anticoagulants. Special instructions: For correct administration of the medication, consultation with the treating physician is necessary. Dosage and administration: Soft Capsules: 1 capsule twice daily, independently of meals. Ampoules: 1 ampoule daily intramuscularly or intravenously. For intravenous injection, 1 ampoule is dissolved in 150-200ml of physiological saline. It is mainly recommended to start treatment with ampoules and continue with capsules for 30-40 days after 15-29 days. The full therapeutic cycle should be repeated at least twice a year. The dosage and frequency of administration may vary depending on the doctor's decision. Side effects: Rarely: Soft Capsules: Gastrointestinal disorders, vomiting or pain in the epigastric region. Ampoules: Pain, burning sensation and hematoma at the injection site. The mentioned side effects are mainly transient. However, if they occur, it is best to consult the treating physician. Shelf life and storage conditions: The shelf life is indicated on the packaging. The medication must not be used after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The shelf life refers to the unopened and properly stored product. Storage conditions: 250 L.E. Capsules: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. The medication should be stored out of reach of children. Additional notes: The solution for injection may be harmful to patients on a low-sodium diet.
