What is it?
Composition 100g of cream contains: Active substances: Nifedipine 0.3g - Lidocaine hydrochloride 1.5g. Excipients: White petrolatum, propylene glycol, medium-chain triglycerides, macrogol stearate, cetostearyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, sodium methylparahydroxybenzoate, propylparahydroxybenzoate, purified water. Pharmaceutical form and content Cream for rectal use. The cardboard box contains one 30g aluminum tube and one cannula. Pharmacotherapeutic group The medicinal product contains nifedipine, a dihydropyridine with calcium antagonist action, which has a relaxing effect on peripheral smooth musculature when used locally. Nifedipine can reduce the hypertonus of the internal anal sphincter. The action of nifedipine is enhanced by the presence of lidocaine, which is a local anesthetic. Therapeutic indications Treatment of anal fissures and proctological problems mainly related to anal sphincter hypertonus. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substances, especially lidocaine (and other local anesthetics) or excipients. Known or suspected pregnancy and lactation period (see also restrictions on use). Severe hypertension or heart failure.
