Properties

What is it?

Composition: Active ingredients per tablet: Activated charcoal 70mg, Papaverine hydrochloride 14mg. Other ingredients: Alginic acid, sucrose, corn starch, liquid glucose, polyethylene glycol 6000, magnesium stearate, shellac, talc, gum arabic, titanium dioxide, carnauba wax. Indication: NK antispasmodic (A: Digestive system and metabolism) This preparation is indicated in adults for digestive disorders, especially when accompanied by abdominal bloating and meteorism. Contraindication: Akticarbin should not be taken if the patient is allergic to any of the components. During pregnancy, it is generally not prescribed without a doctor's recommendation. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Precautions: In case of abdominal bloating and meteorism, the patient should avoid consuming dry legumes (lentils, beans, peas, etc.) and some vegetables (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, beetroot, etc.). In case of accompanying diarrhea, it is necessary to: Rehydrate with salty and sweetened drinks to compensate for fluid loss due to diarrhea. Dosage and administration: Dosage: For adults only, 1 or 2 tablets 3 times a day before meals. Tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a glass of water. Overdose: In case of very high doses, papaverine may cause nausea, vomiting, weakness, central nervous system depression, double vision, increased sweating, facial redness, dry mouth, dizziness, and sinus tachycardia. Possible side effects: Like all medications, Akticarbin may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them: possible change in stool color.
