What is it?
Composition 1 ml of solution (approximately up to 30 drops) contains: Active substance: Cholecalciferol – 15,000 IU Excipients: Cremophor EL, sucrose (250 mg), sodium hydrogen phosphate, citric acid, anise flavoring, benzyl alcohol (15 mg), purified water. Indications Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency. Prevention and treatment of rickets, hypocalcemic tetany, osteomalacia, and bone diseases with metabolic process disorders (such as hypoparathyroidism and pseudohypoparathyroidism), prevention of conditions caused by reduced vitamin D absorption. As an adjunct in the treatment of osteoporosis. Dosage and Administration Administer orally with a spoon. 1 drop contains approximately 500 IU of vitamin D3. To accurately determine the dosage, hold the bottle at a 45° angle. When not prescribed by a doctor: For prophylactic purposes: - In newborns aged 3-4 weeks, children up to 2-3 years old with good care and sufficient time outdoors: 500-1000 IU (1-2 drops) per day. - In premature infants, infants aged 7-10 days, twins, infants in poor living conditions – 100-1500 IU (2-3 drops) per day; during sunny summer months, the dose can be reduced to 500 IU (1 drop) per day. - In pregnant women, the daily dose is 400 IU of vitamin D from the 28th week of pregnancy. - In adults: 500-1000 IU (1-2 drops) per day. For therapeutic purposes: - Daily dose of 2000-5000 IU (4-10 drops) for 4-6 weeks, under careful patient monitoring and periodic urine examination. Treatment is initiated with a dose of 2000 IU for 3-5 days, then, if well tolerated, the dose is increased to the individual therapeutic dose (often 3000 IU). A dose of 5000 IU is prescribed only in cases of severe bone damage. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after a one-week break. Treatment continues until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved, after which the dose is reduced to the prophylactic dose of 500-1500 IU per day. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the preparation or its ingredients, especially benzyl alcohol; Hypervitaminosis D; Elevated calcium levels in blood and urine; Urolithiasis; Sarcoidosis; Renal insufficiency. When using other preparations containing vitamin A and vitamin D, the daily dose must be carefully selected to avoid symptoms of overdose. Concomitant use of the preparation and other preparations containing vitamin A and vitamin D is not recommended. Use in infants under 4 months of age is not recommended due to potential hypersensitivity to benzyl alcohol. Pregnancy and Lactation High doses of vitamin D3 are not permitted during pregnancy due to the potential development of teratogenic effects caused by overdose. The preparation should be administered with caution during lactation. Symptoms of overdose can develop in infants during this period. Storage Conditions and Shelf Life Store in a place protected from children, at a temperature of 5-15 °C. Store in a place protected from light. Shelf life: 3 years Do not use the preparation after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
