What is it?
Composition: One inhalation dose contains 0.021mg of ipratropium bromide, equivalent to 0.020mg (20mcg) of anhydrous ipratropium bromide. Propellant: 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFA 134a). Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, purified water, ethanol. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Bronchodilator. Form: Metered-dose aerosol. Indications: - Chronic obstructive bronchitis with or without pulmonary emphysema; - Bronchial asthma (especially with concomitant cardiovascular diseases and contraindications for the use of beta2-adrenomimetics and methylxanthines). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to atropine and its derivatives and other components of the preparation; first trimester of pregnancy; children under 6 years of age. Dosage and administration: The dosage regimen is individual. For adults and children over 6 years of age, the following dosage regimen is recommended: 2 inhalation doses (puffs) 4 times a day. The need to increase the dose requires a change in the basic treatment. The total daily dose should not exceed 12 (puffs) inhalations per day. If inhalations are insufficiently effective or the patient's condition worsens, they should consult a doctor to change the treatment. In case of sudden onset and progression of shortness of breath, a doctor's consultation is necessary. In children, the drug is prescribed only on the recommendation of a doctor and under adult supervision. Pregnancy and lactation: The administration of the drug in the I and II trimesters of pregnancy and during lactation is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
