What is it?
Augmentin is a broad-spectrum penicillin group antibiotic that is active against the main Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms causing ambulatory and hospital infections. The clavulanic acid in the preparation expands the antibacterial spectrum of amoxicillin to include microorganisms that are resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics. Augmentin BI is used to treat various infections in adolescents and children: middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, including dental infections, bone infections. Adults and children weighing over 40 kg This form of the drug is not recommended for adults and children weighing over 40 kg. Consult a doctor or pharmacist for advice. Children weighing less than 40 kg The dose is selected according to the child's body weight. The doctor will specify the required dose. Powder for oral suspension 400 mg/57 mg/5 ml (strawberry) is used. To facilitate dosing, you can use a syringe, measuring spoon, or cup. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. The prepared suspension is stored in the refrigerator (2-8°C). Keep out of reach of children.
