What is it?
BECLOGEN, CREAM (Beclometasone + Gentamicin + Clotrimazole + Iodoquinol Cream) Composition: Beclometasone Dipropionate BP 0.025 % w/w Gentamicin Sulfate BP 0.1 % w/w Clotrimazole BP 1.0 % w/w Iodoquinol BP 1.0 % w/w Cream Base q.s. Description: Beclometasone dipropionate is a potent glucocorticosteroid. It is a prodrug of beclometasone (INN) in free form. In inhaled form, it is used for the prophylaxis of asthma. As a nasal spray, it is used for the treatment of rhinitis (e.g., hay fever) and sinusitis. It is sometimes used by oral pathologists to treat unusually severe aphthous ulcers. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat many types of bacterial infections, especially those caused by Gram-negative organisms. Clotrimazole is a fungicidal preparation often used to treat fungal infections (in both humans and animals) such as vaginal candidiasis, oral candidiasis, and tinea. Indications: BECLOGEN cream is indicated for the treatment of tinea pedis, dermatitis, eczema, neurodermatitis, tinea and inguinal epidermophytosis, otomycosis, mixed vaginitis, vulvitis and colpitis, interdigital spaces and other fungal infections of the skin, vaginal candidiasis, pyogenic skin disease. The cream should be applied topically to the skin. Apply to the affected area 2-3 times a day. Contraindications: BECLOGEN cream is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, or with tuberculosis or viral diseases of the skin. Do not use in the eyes. Recommended Dose and Method of Administration: Dermatophytic infections: Treatment for at least one month. Candidiasis: Treatment for at least two weeks. Route of administration: Apply directly to the affected area. Wash hands after application. Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature below 30°C.
