Properties

What is it?

Composition Benet spray 30ml contains 0.045 grams of benzydamine hydrochloride (0.15%) as the active ingredient, as well as saccharin as a sweetener, methylparaben as a preservative, mint essence as a flavoring agent, and ethanol as a solvent. Each spray delivers 0.18 ml (0.270 mg benzydamine hydrochloride). Indications: • Adjunctive therapy for antibacterial treatment of sore throat, pharyngitis, laryngitis, and tonsillitis; • After tonsillectomy; • Oral mucositis (inflammation and irritation of the oral mucosa) caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other medical reasons (e.g., tracheal intubation). • Treatment and prevention of aphthous ulcers, glossitis, gingivitis, and stomatitis. • Recurrent aphthous stomatitis. • Oral mucosal lesions caused by Behcet's disease • Oral mucosal lesions caused by pemphigus group diseases; • Treatment of oral lesions in erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis; • Treatment of oral erosive lichen planus; • For pain relief after various oral and pharyngeal manipulations: periodontal procedures, oral surgery, dental, and jaw operations. • Treatment of oral mucosal inflammations (stomatitis). Usage and Dosage Benet spray: Adults and elderly: one spray every 1.5 - 3 hours, 4-8 times a day. Children (6-12 years): one spray every 1.5 - 3 hours, 4 times a day. Children under 6 years: one spray per 4 kg of body weight every 1.5 - 3 hours, maximum 4 sprays per day. Warnings and Precautions Systemic absorption of the drug is very low (due to negligible absorption from the oral mucosa and swallowing of a portion of it), therefore, overdose or toxicity of Benet oral spray does not develop. Avoid contact of the preparation with eyes. Children: As there is insufficient clinical experience, the preparation is not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Pregnancy and lactation: Pregnancy Category B. The decision on the use of the preparation in this contingent is made by a doctor. The effect of the preparation on driving and operating machinery is not described. Storage Conditions: Store at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
