What is it?
Composition: 1g ointment contains: Active substance: Dexpanthenol-50mg, Excipients: Protegin X 50mg, Cetyl alcohol 18mg, Stearyl alcohol 12mg, White beeswax 40mg, Lanolin 250mg, White soft paraffin 130mg, Almond oil 50mg, Liquid paraffin 150mg, Purified water up to 1000mg. Indications: For the prevention and treatment of skin dryness in case of impaired skin integrity. For the treatment and care of baby's skin (in case of diaper rash and diaper dermatitis), as well as for mothers during lactation (for the care of mammary glands during lactation; for the care of dry and painful cracked nipples). For the activation of the healing process, which may be caused by minor skin damage, mild burns, abrasions, skin irritation, chronic ulcers, bedsores, cracks, and skin grafting. Contraindications: Bepanthen should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Bepanthen can be used during pregnancy and lactation. If the preparation is used for nipple care during lactation, the cream should be washed off before breastfeeding. Method of administration and dosage: For external use. Apply the ointment in a thin layer to the affected and inflamed surface 1-2 times a day. For the care of mammary glands, apply the ointment to the nipples after each feeding. For the care of infants, apply the ointment after each diaper change. Overdose: Dexpanthenol is well tolerated even in large doses and does not cause adverse reactions. No cases of overdose have been reported to date. Cases of hypervitaminosis are not known. Side effects: Allergic reactions (urticaria, itching). If any of the side effects occur, including those not listed in this instruction, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Special instructions: The patient should avoid contact with eyes. Dosage form: 5% ointment for external use. 30g aluminum tube with a polypropylene neck and an aluminum foil membrane, which is closed with a polypropylene screw-on pointed cap for piercing the membrane. Each tube is placed in a cardboard box with instructions for use. Storage conditions: Store in a place inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Shelf life: 3 years. Do not use after the expiry date. Dispensing rule: Pharmaceutical product group III, available without a prescription. Dosage form: Ointment for external use. Description: Soft, elastic, homogeneous, opaque cream, pale yellowish in color, with a faint characteristic odor of lanolin.
