Properties

What is it?

Composition: Active ingredients: Dexpanthenol 50mg/g, Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5mg/g. Excipients: DL Pantolactone, Cetyl alcohol, Stearyl alcohol, White soft paraffin, Liquid paraffin, Lanolin (E913), Macrogol stearate, Purified water. Indications: For the treatment of superficial skin injuries such as minor cuts, bruises, wounds, abrasions, burns, insect bites, when there is a risk of infection; as a local antiseptic in minimally invasive surgery. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dexpanthenol and/or chlorhexidine or any component of the preparation. Do not apply to a perforated eardrum. Method of administration and dosage: Apply the cream to the pre-cleaned wound surface or inflamed skin area once or several times a day, as needed. A dressing can be used if necessary. Possible side effects: The listed side effects are based on spontaneous reports, and the exact frequency of occurrence of each cannot be determined. Contact dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, itching, erythema, eczema, rash, urticaria, skin irritation, blistering rash. Hypersensitivity, anaphylactic reactions, anaphylactic shock with corresponding laboratory and clinical manifestations, asthma symptoms, mild to moderate skin lesions, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system damage, including heart and respiratory failure. If any of the above side effects occur, including those not listed in these instructions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Overdose: Bepanthen Plus is well tolerated even in high doses, and there is no risk of overdose. No special measures are required even if accidentally ingested. In case of accidental eye contact, minor irritation may occur, which can be eliminated by rinsing with water or saline solution. Frequent and repeated application of the preparation to the same affected area may cause skin irritation. Precautions: The preparation should not be used on large areas of skin; it is intended for the treatment of minor skin injuries. Avoid contact of the cream with the ear canal, eyes, or mucous membranes. Bepanthen Plus is not recommended for treating irritated skin where infection is unlikely (e.g., sunburn). Interactions with other medicines: Chlorhexidine is incompatible with saponifying agents and other anionic compounds. Simultaneous use of Bepanthen Plus with other antiseptics is not recommended to rule out interactions (antagonism or inactivation of action). Pregnancy and lactation: There is no data from studies on the need to restrict the use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation. Storage conditions: At a temperature not exceeding 25C, out of reach of children.
