What is it?
Composition and Dosage Form Each coated tablet contains: 300 IU BP (14 microkatal) Chymotrypsin 300 IU BP (5 microkatal) Trypsin Excipients: Aerosil, Dextrate, Magnesium Stearate, Pregelatinized Starch, Stearic Acid, Acetone, Celacefate, Diethyl Phthalate, Sepisperse Blue K1009 Pharmacological Properties Biflazim® acts on the exudative phase of inflammation and breaks down peptide bonds at the site of inflammation, regardless of its origin, thanks to the synergistic action of the two highly active proteolytic enzymes contained in the preparation. Gastro-resistant and enteric-coated tablets, through absorption only in the intestine, ensure both good tolerability and high efficacy. Indications Inflammation and associated pain, regardless of origin and localization, especially: In Traumatology and Surgery: Treatment and prophylaxis of post-traumatic and postoperative edema and hematomas. Consequences of sprains, hematomas, fractures, and postoperative swelling. In ENT Practice: Pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, otitis, eustachitis. In Ophthalmology: Eye injuries, postoperative hemorrhages into the vitreous body. In Pulmonology: Inflammation of the bronchopulmonary tract and tracheobronchitis. In Dentistry: Tooth extraction, periodontitis and gum inflammation, dental and maxillofacial surgeries. In Gynecology: Pelvic inflammatory diseases, perineal edema, mastitis. Biflazim® also improves the diffusion of antibiotics into inflamed tissues, especially in ENT organs, the bronchopulmonary tract, and the oral cavity. Dosage and Administration Take orally, without chewing, 1-2 tablets 3 times a day, or as prescribed by a doctor. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to trypsin or chymotrypsin. Special Instructions In case of infections, the preparation should be combined with antibiotics. Storage Conditions and Expiry Dates The preparation must not be used after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. All medicines should be stored out of reach of children.
