What is it?
Brefovill® Brefovill® Drops Composition: 1 ml of Brefovill® contains 2 billion CFU (quantity guaranteed until the end of shelf life) of Saccharomyces boulardii and Lactobacillus rhamnosus SP1. Sachet composition: Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. boulardii CNCM I-3799, Lactobacillus rhamnosus SP1, Fructooligosaccharides, Silicon dioxide (as anti-caking agent). Bottle composition: Sunflower oil, Silicon dioxide (as anti-caking agent). Pharmacological properties: Saccharomyces boulardii stimulates immunoglobulin A (IgA) secretion, enhancing local immunity. When used with antibiotic therapy, it helps maintain the balance of bacterial flora until the end of treatment. Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a probiotic that is resistant to the acidic environment of the stomach. Clinical studies have confirmed the effectiveness of this strain in cases of traveler's diarrhea and post-antibiotic therapy diarrhea. Brefovill® can also be used for rehydration therapy during acute gastroenteritis. It protects the intestines from the causative agent of pseudomembranous colitis and reduces the risk of gingivitis and periodontal disease development. It acts as an adjuvant in H. pylori eradication. Indications: * Post-antibiotic therapy period; * Treatment and prevention of acute infectious, viral, and bacterial diarrhea; * Chronic diarrhea; * Infant colic; * Rotavirus diarrhea in children up to 12 months of age; * Dysbacteriosis; * Gastrointestinal infections; * Stress. Dosage: Children: 8 drops per day (0.5 ml); Adults: 16 drops per day (1 ml); Course of treatment 7-10 days. Shake the bottle well before use. Suitable for pregnant women and the elderly. Method of use: Pour the contents of the sachet into the bottle, close the cap, and shake well until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. Small particles may occasionally be observed in the suspension. The preparation can be taken directly on the tongue by drops, or dissolved in water at room temperature, or any other liquid. After opening, the obtained suspension should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 15 days. Contraindications and side effects: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. No side effects have been reported during the use of the product. Warning and storage conditions: The preparation contains lactic acid bacteria that are sensitive to heat and temperature fluctuations. Store out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The preparation cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet during dieting.
