What is it?
Composition: The active substance is aclidinium bromide. One delivered dose contains 375 micrograms of aclidinium bromide, equivalent to 322 micrograms of aclidinium. Excipients: lactose monohydrate. Indication: Bretaris Genuair helps to open up the airways and relieve the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a severe, long-term lung disease that causes breathing difficulties. Regular use of Bretaris Genuair will help with shortness of breath caused by your condition and will help to minimize the impact of the disease on your daily life. Contraindications: Allergy to aclidinium bromide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; to atropine or similar bronchodilators, such as ipratropium, tiotropium or oxitropium. Children and adolescents: Bretaris Genuair must not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Taking Bretaris Genuair with food and drink: Bretaris Genuair can be used at any time, before or after a meal. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Bretaris Genuair must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding without a doctor's prescription. How to use Bretaris Genuair: Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is one inhalation twice a day – in the morning and in the evening. Bretaris Genuair works for 12 hours, so use your Bretaris Genuair inhaler at the same time each morning and evening. This will ensure that you have a constant sufficient amount of medicine to make breathing easier throughout the day and night. It will also help you to remember to take your medicine. Even if the green button is blocked, you will be able to take your last dose. After this, you can no longer use the Genuair inhaler and must start using a new Genuair inhaler.
