What is it?
Composition: Bronchobos 2.5% syrup 5ml contains: Carbocisteine 125.00mg; Other excipients of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup are: Glycerol 85%, Ethanol 96%, Sodium hydroxide, Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Citric acid monohydrate, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate, Saccharin sodium, Propyl parahydroxybenzoate, Raspberry flavor, Azorubine (E122), Purified water. Indication: Bronchobos 2.5% syrup contains the drug carbocisteine, which belongs to mucolytic agents. It makes mucus less sticky (liquefies it), which facilitates its expulsion during coughing. Bronchobos 2.5% syrup is used for respiratory tract problems when a large amount of mucus is produced or the mucus becomes very sticky. Bronchobos 2.5% syrup is specifically designed for children. Contraindication: The treating physician should be informed if the patient is taking other medications, has certain chronic diseases, metabolic disorders, is hypersensitive, or has had allergic reactions to medications. Bronchobos 2.5% syrup must not be given to children and medical attention is required if: the patient is allergic (hypersensitive) to carbocisteine or any other ingredient of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup. Signs of an allergic reaction include: rash, difficulty swallowing or breathing, swelling of the lips, face, throat, or tongue; if the child is less than 2 years old. The medication must not be taken if the child has any of the above. In case of doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking Bronchobos 2.5% syrup. Taking Bronchobos 2.5% syrup with food and drink: Food and drink do not affect the efficacy of the medication. Dosage and administration: The medication should be taken according to the instructions for use. If the patient considers that the effect of the medication is too strong or too weak, they should consult their treating physician or pharmacist. Bronchobos 2.5% syrup is intended for oral administration to children. Bronchobos 2.5% syrup should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if the patient is unsure. Dosage: The dose of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup depends on the child's age. Children aged 2-5 years: The recommended dose is 2.5-5ml (half–1 dosing spoon of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup) 4 times a day. Children aged 5-12 years: The recommended dose is 10ml (2 dosing spoons of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup) 3 times a day. For children over 12 years of age, it is recommended to take Bronchobos 5% syrup. Note: For dosing Bronchobos 2.5% syrup, the dosing spoon (5ml) included in the package, marked with 2.5ml, should be used. One dosing spoon of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup (5ml) contains 125mg of carbocisteine. In case of overdose of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup: In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention! If a child has taken a large amount of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup, seek immediate medical attention or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital. The patient should bring the packaging so that the doctor knows which medication has been taken. In case of overdose of Bronchobos 2.5% syrup, dyspeptic symptoms (gastro-intestinal disorders) are expected in the child. Storage: Bronchobos 2.5% syrup should be stored in a place inaccessible to children. Up to 30C. Do not freeze. Shelf life: 36 months. Shelf life after opening the original packaging: 60 days. Do not take Bronchobos 2.5% syrup after the expiry date indicated on the box.
