What is it?

Composition: Per 7.5 ml / Per 2.5 ml Trimethoprim (as active substance) 80 mg / 26.7 mg Sulfamethoxazole (as active substance) 400 mg / 133.3 mg Bromhexine hydrochloride (as active substance) 4 mg / 1.3 mg Sodium benzoate 250 mg / 83.3 mg Tolu balsam syrup 325 mg / 108.3 mg Excipients: Glycerin (E422), Sucrose, Xanthan gum, Sodium saccharin, Methylparahydroxybenzoate (E218), Polysorbate 80, Propylparahydroxybenzoate (E216), Dimethicone antifoaming agents, Anise essence, Water, q.s. Pharmacological action: Trimethoprim, in combination with sulfamide, sulfamethoxazole and diaminopyrimidine, is an effective agent acting on many pathogens causing various diseases. Bronchidiazina syrup, thanks to its bromhexine content, has an expectorant effect that thins bronchial secretions, making it easier to cough up thick bronchial secretions and breathe. The combination of sodium benzoate and tolu balsam syrup has a soothing and expectorant effect. Indications: Respiratory infections: acute bronchitis and exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, middle ear infections, and sinusitis. Treatment and prophylaxis of pneumonia caused by Pneumocystis carinii. Diagnosis and subsequent treatment of all the above-mentioned infections are prescribed by a doctor, therefore, the use of the preparation without a doctor's prescription is not allowed. Contraindications: - The preparation is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to its components. - The preparation is not prescribed for children under 2 years of age. - The preparation is not prescribed for patients with severe blood diseases without adequate monitoring. Precautions: - Administer with caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function, in patients with alcohol dependence, and in cases of inadequate nutrition. - The preparation is administered with caution in cases of allergy and bronchial asthma. - Treatment with the preparation in elderly patients should be carried out under special supervision. - The preparation should be stored in a place protected from light. Pregnancy and lactation: The decision to use the preparation during pregnancy and lactation should be made by a doctor. Interactions with other medications: The administration of the preparation with other medicinal products may alter their effects. Therefore, consult your doctor when treating diabetes, epilepsy, or when taking medications that affect blood coagulation. Side effects: The preparation is generally well tolerated, although in some cases it may cause nausea, vomiting, or respiratory complications. More rarely, skin redness may develop, and in elderly patients - a rash on the skin. In case of development of the above-mentioned side effects, consult your doctor. Special instructions: Instructions regarding excipients: The preparation contains glycerin, which can be dangerous in high doses. It can cause headache, gastrointestinal disorders, and diarrhea. Dosage and administration: It is not allowed to change or discontinue the doses of the preparation prescribed by the doctor. As a rule, the following guidelines should be used when taking the preparation: For adults, 7.5 ml is prescribed 3 times a day. For children over 2 years of age, 2.5 ml is prescribed 3 times a day. The suspension is intended for oral administration.
