What is it?

Composition Brovin Composition: - Active substance is Levodropropizine - Other ingredients are: Sucrose, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Cherry Flavor, Water Indications Brovin syrup, 6 mg per ml, contains Levodropropizine and is used in adults and children over 2 years of age for symptomatic treatment of cough. Dosage and Administration Take Brovin as prescribed by your doctor. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 ml (equivalent to 60 mg Levodropropizine), three times a day, with at least six-hour intervals. Children over 2 years of age: The dose for children is 1 mg/kg, three times a day, with a total daily dose of 3 mg/kg. The preparation is for oral use. The preparation should be taken between meals, as the effect of food has not yet been established. Contraindications Do not take Brovin: - If you are allergic to Levodropropizine or any other ingredient of Brovin. - If you have excessive mucus secretion (bronchorrhea). - If you have impaired mucociliary function (Cartagener's syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia). - If you have severe liver impairment. - During pregnancy or lactation. Pregnancy and Lactation Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medication. Levodropropizine is not used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Special Warnings Driving and Operating Machinery Levodropropizine may cause drowsiness, which should be taken into account when driving or operating machinery. Important Information About Some Ingredients of Brovin Brovin contains sucrose. If you are intolerant to sugar, consult your doctor before taking the medication. Overdose An overdose may lead to an increase in side effects. Seek immediate medical attention. If You Forget to Take Brovin If you forget to take Brovin, take the recommended dose as soon as you remember. Do not take a double dose. Interactions with Other Medicines Be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications, especially over-the-counter medications. - Special caution is required when patients are taking sedatives. - Levodropropizine is metabolized mainly in the liver. Other medications that are also metabolized in the liver should be considered. Storage Conditions and Expiry Dates Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Use before the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
