Properties

What is it?

Composition: 1ml of the preparation contains: Active substance: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.1mg. Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium edetate, Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, Anhydrous disodium phosphate, Macrogol 1000, Sodium chloride, Propylene glycol, Hydrochloric acid and/or Sodium hydroxide, Purified water. Indications: Acute rhinitis; Allergic rhinitis; Vasomotor rhinitis; Restoration of drainage from the nasal cavity in inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, as well as in otitis media in combination with rhinitis; Relief of swelling in the nasal passages before diagnostic procedures. The medicinal product Burunachi, nasal drops, is intended for infants and young children. Method of administration and dosage: Dosage: Infants and young children up to 1 year of age: Infants up to 4 weeks of age: 1 drop of 0.01% solution in each nostril 2-3 times a day. Children from 5 weeks to 1 year of age: 1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day. The solution is instilled into each nostril. When instilling the Burunachi preparation, the child's head should be tilted back. In infants, the effect of using a 0.01% solution can be achieved within 20 minutes of use. The single dose of Burunachi preparation should not be used more than 3 times a day. The preparation should not be used for more than 7 consecutive days. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The medicinal product can be reused only after a few days. Recommendations for use: The Burunachi preparation is used in infants and children up to 1 year of age. The dose of the preparation in newborns with low birth weight and premature infants should be determined by the attending physician to avoid the risk of overdose. Method of administration: The medicinal product Burunachi is intended for nasal use only. Before the first use of Burunachi, remove the protective cap from the dosing device, point the vial opening downwards and press the dosing device several times until a drop appears. The medicinal product should be instilled only when the child is lying on their back with their head tilted back. The vial opening should be pointed downwards directly in front of the nostril and instilled into each nostril. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to oxymetazoline or any of the excipients of the preparation; Dry rhinitis; After transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical procedures involving exposure of the dura mater. Possible side effects: Burning and dryness of the nasal mucosa, sneezing. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Pregnancy: During pregnancy, the Burunachi preparation should be used only after a proper assessment of the benefit-risk ratio and on the recommendation of a doctor. Overdosing the recommended dose during pregnancy is not allowed, as overdose can disrupt blood supply to the fetus. Lactation: It is not known whether oxymetazoline passes into breast milk. Therefore, the Burunachi preparation should be used during lactation only after a proper assessment of the benefit-risk ratio and on the recommendation of a doctor. Overdosing the recommended dose during lactation is not allowed, as overdose can reduce milk production. Dosage form: Nasal drops 0.01%. Description: Clear, colorless solution. Release form: 5ml nasal drops in a white plastic bottle with a dosing device and a protective cap. 1 bottle together with instructions for medical use is placed in a cardboard box. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C, out of reach of children! After opening the bottle, the preparation is used within 6 months.
