What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - agnus castus Active Substance: Dry extract of Vitex agnus-castus fruit (Agnus castus fructus) Composition: 1 film-coated tablet contains 4.0 mg of dry extract of Vitex agnus-castus fruit (7-11:1) as an active substance. Extractant: 70% (v/v) ethanol. Other ingredients: Povidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, potato starch, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol, magnesium stearate, talc, E171, E172, E132, poly(ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate) trimethylammonioethyl methacrylate chloride 1:2:0.2, molecular weight - 150,000. Indications: Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets are a herbal medicinal product used in complex therapy for the following conditions (see "Interactions with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction"): - Menstrual cycle disorders - Premenstrual syndrome - Cyclical mastodynia (breast pain associated with the menstrual cycle) In cases of tension and swelling in the breast area, as well as menstrual cycle disorders, it is necessary to consult a doctor, as there may be conditions requiring additional medical examination. Cyclodynon® is not used: In case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Warnings: a) Pregnancy: The administration of the preparation is not indicated during pregnancy. Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets should not be taken during pregnancy. b) Lactation: According to reproductive research data, the extract of Vitex agnus-castus fruit may have a negative impact on lactation. Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets should not be taken during lactation. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery: Studies on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive and operate machinery have not been conducted. Dosage and administration: The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise. Take 1 film-coated tablet once a day. Take the tablet with sufficient liquid (e.g., 1 glass of water). Do not chew the tablet. For optimal therapeutic effect, it is recommended to take the preparation continuously for 3 months, including during menstruation. If symptoms persist after 3 months of continuous use of the preparation, consult a doctor or qualified medical personnel. Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended. If you have taken more Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets than you should: Cases of overdose of Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets have not been described. If you forget to take Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets: Do not take a double dose of 2 tablets at once to make up for a missed dose. Side effects: Like all medicines, Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets can cause side effects. Severe allergic reactions with facial swelling, shortness of breath, and difficulty swallowing. Allergic skin reactions (rash and hives), headache, dizziness, gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, abdominal pain), acne, menstrual cycle disorders have been described. Frequency is unknown. Discontinue taking Cyclodynon® film-coated tablets at the first sign of hypersensitivity/allergic reaction. If side effects occur that are not listed above, consult a doctor or qualified medical personnel immediately. Note: With the regulation of the menstrual cycle, the probability of conception increases.
