What is it?
Combined Medication Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Biologically Active Supplements Composition: One effervescent tablet of Zinkovid contains 15 mg of Zinc Citrate, 1000 IU of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), 1000 mg of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) as active ingredients, and the following excipients: orange flavoring, citric acid, sodium carbonate, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol, sucralose, riboflavin. Mechanism of Action: Zinc in Zinkovid participates in metabolic processes in the body, including carbohydrate metabolism and protein synthesis. Zinc supports the proper functioning of the immune system, thereby improving the body's resistance to viral, bacterial, and fungal infections, and protects the body from damage caused by oxidative stress. In the body, zinc regulates the level of steroid (sex) hormones, participates in testosterone production in men, and also increases sperm motility. Zinc ensures normal bone tissue structure, participates in the formation of healthy skin, hair, and nails, and is essential for normal eye function. Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) – regulates the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the body, helps maintain the required level of these elements in the blood, as well as in bones and teeth. It promotes the formation of the skeletal system and increases muscle tone. As a result of Vitamin D3 action, myocardial contractility, blood clotting, and nerve impulse conduction are improved. Vitamin D3 regulates the balanced functioning of the immune system and strengthens it. It is also essential for the normal functioning of the parathyroid glands. Vitamin D3 is an important and mandatory component in the complex therapy of osteoporosis. Vitamin C, a water-soluble vitamin that is not produced by the body and must be taken externally, is one of the most powerful antioxidants – it binds free radicals and protects the body from their damaging effects; it strengthens the body's immune system, stimulates interferon production, which prevents virus replication in the body. Vitamin C plays an important role in collagen synthesis, accelerates wound and burn healing, ensures energy production at the cellular level, participates in ATP synthesis, and improves physical and mental performance. Indications: Deficiency of Zinc, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin C Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components Precautions: Zinkovid is a dietary supplement and should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Not recommended for individuals with iron malabsorption, kidney failure, or hypercalcemia. It is advisable to consult a doctor before using the preparation during pregnancy and lactation. Dosage and Administration: For adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet daily, once, with 200 ml of cool water. Side Effects: Allergic reactions may occur.
