What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, caffeine Clinical-pharmacological group: Pulmonology → Cold remedies → Preparations for systemic use Composition and dosage form 1 tablet contains: acetylsalicylic acid _ 0.24 g, paracetamol _ 0.18 g, caffeine _ 0.03 g. Excipients: cocoa, citric acid, potato starch, talc, calcium stearate. Indications Pain syndrome: headache, toothache, neuralgia, arthralgia, myalgia. Cold syndrome: acute respiratory diseases, flu. Dosage and administration The preparation is taken orally (during or after meals) _ 1 tablet every 4 hours. For pain syndrome _ 1-2 tablets. The average daily dose is 3-4 tablets, the maximum daily dose is 8 tablets. The course of treatment is no more than 7-10 days. The preparation should not be used for more than 5 days as an analgesic and for more than 3 days as an antipyretic (without a doctor's prescription and supervision). Side effects Gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, hepato- and nephrotoxicity, erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, allergic reactions, tachycardia, increased blood pressure, bronchospasm. With prolonged use _ dizziness, headache, visual disturbances, tinnitus, hypocoagulation, hemorrhagic syndrome (nosebleeds, gum bleeding, and others), impaired kidney function, Reye's syndrome in children. Contraindications Hypersensitivity, erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, gastrointestinal bleeding, "aspirin asthma", hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis, hypoprothrombinemia, portal hypertension, vitamin K deficiency, renal failure, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, severe arterial hypertension, severe ischemic heart disease, glaucoma, increased excitability, sleep disturbances, surgical interventions with bleeding, age up to 15 years (due to the risk of Reye's syndrome with hyperthermia against the background of viral diseases). Pregnancy and lactation The preparation is contraindicated during pregnancy (I and III trimesters) and lactation. Special instructions With prolonged use of the preparation, it is necessary to monitor peripheral blood and liver functional status. In case of urgent surgical intervention, it is necessary to inform the doctor in advance about the use of the preparation. Citramon-P is prescribed with caution for liver diseases and gout.
