What is it?
Hemagel® Procto Suppositories General Description Hemagel® Procto are white torpedo-shaped suppositories, with a composition developed by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Indication Hemagel® Procto is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds of the rectal mucosa in patients with fissures and hemorrhoidal nodes, including patients after Baron's ligation. Furthermore, for reducing bleeding in patients with hemorrhoids accompanied by bleeding and especially for preventing unpleasant sensations of burning and itching in the rectum. Composition Hemagel® Procto suppositories contain the powdered copolymer HEMA-HAS and hard fat. Target Group and Restrictions on Use Suppositories are intended for all patient groups. How to Use Suppositories • Suppositories should be inserted rectally, with the rounded end, if possible, after defecation and cleaning of the anal area. • Separate one suppository from the blister strip along the perforated edge, then gently tear open the packaging and remove the suppository. • Insert the suppository deep into the rectum, with the rounded end; this is easiest in a slightly bent-forward position. • Unless otherwise specified, Hemagel® Procto suppositories are administered once a day, preferably before bedtime. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to any component of the product, insufficient length of the rectum (in children up to 3 months of age or premature infants). Warning Suppositories are intended for all patient groups. In case of undesirable side effects, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor. If you suspect a serious side effect, immediately report it to the manufacturer. Keep out of reach of children! Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of the corresponding month. The suppository is manufactured for single use and rectal administration. Do not use on other parts of the body. Do not swallow. Manufacturer's Recommendations In case of rectal disease, it is particularly important to maintain hygiene and regular control of bowel movements. Therefore, it is necessary to drink sufficient fluids, have a slightly laxative diet, and increase fiber intake. Use the product for a maximum of 30 days. If complaints do not disappear within 7 days or worsen, consult a doctor. Storage Store at a temperature of 15-25°C in the original packaging.
