What is it?
Dafuragi is an antibacterial medication used for urinary tract infections. The medication contains the active substance furazidine, also known as furagin, which is a nitrofurane derivative. Furazidine inhibits the development of bacteria that cause urinary tract infections. Dafuragi is not effective against infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa species and most Proteus vulgaris species. Therapeutic indication: Treatment of acute and chronic uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections in children and adults caused by Escherichia coli species. Do not use Dafuragi: - If you are allergic to furazidine or any of the other ingredients of the medication (listed in section 6) or nitrofurane derivatives; - During the first three months of pregnancy; - Throughout the entire pregnancy (from week 38) and during labor due to the risk of hemolytic anemia (disintegration of red blood cells) in newborns; - Do not use in children under 3 months of age; - If you have kidney failure; - If you have been diagnosed with polyneuropathy, e.g., diabetic (nerve damage caused by high blood sugar levels); Pregnancy, lactation: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medication. Recommended dosage: Adults: First day of treatment: 10 ml, 4 times a day. Subsequent days of treatment: 10 ml, 3 times a day. Children over 3 months of age: 5-7 mg/kg per day, in 2-3 divided doses. The medication is used for 7-8 days. If necessary, the doctor may repeat the treatment after 10-15 days. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C.
