What is it?

Composition: Active substance: Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3). 1 milliliter of solution (40 drops) contains 0.5mg of cholecalciferol, which is equivalent to 20,0000 IU of Vitamin D3. 1 drop of solution contains 12.5 micrograms of cholecalciferol, which is equivalent to 500 IU of Vitamin D3. Other ingredients of the solution: medium-chain triglycerides. Indications: Used in the following cases: Prevention of rickets and osteomalacia (softening or weakening of bones caused by vitamin D deficiency) in children and adults; prevention of rickets in premature newborns; treatment of vitamin D deficiency (including rickets and osteomalacia) in children and adults; treatment of vitamin D insufficiency in high-risk patients (including patients with obesity, malabsorption syndrome, and those treated with drugs affecting vitamin D metabolism); as an adjunct to specific osteoporosis treatment (a disease characterized by reduced bone density, which in turn leads to gradual bone weakening and increased risk of fractures) in patients with vitamin D insufficiency or at risk of vitamin D deficiency. Contraindications: Allergy to cholecalciferol or any other component of the medicinal product; if the patient has hypercalcemia (excessively high level of calcium in the blood); if the patient has hypercalciuria (excessively high level of calcium in the urine); if the patient has hypervitaminosis D (excessively high level of vitamin D in the blood); if the patient has severe kidney damage (acute kidney failure). Prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults: Newborns: 1 drop (500 IU of Vitamin D3) per day. Infants and young children (28 days to 23 months), children and adults: 1 drop (500 IU of Vitamin D3) per day. Treatment of vitamin D deficiency (including rickets and osteomalacia) in children and adults with low vitamin D levels in the blood (<20 ng/ml) Pediatric population: Infants up to 1 month old – 2 drops (1000 IU of Vitamin D3) per day. Infants and young children from 1 to 12 months – 2-6 drops (1000-3000 IU of Vitamin D3) per day. Children and adolescents from 1 to 18 years – 6-10 drops (3000-5000 IU of Vitamin D3) per day. The duration of treatment in children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years is 6 weeks, until adequate vitamin D levels are achieved in the blood (the treating physician will prescribe a blood test). Treatment continues with a maintenance dose of 200-1000 IU per day. The duration of treatment in adults is 6 weeks, until adequate vitamin D levels are achieved in the blood (the treating physician will prescribe a blood test).
