What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - desloratadine Clinical-pharmacological group: Allergology → Histamine H1 receptor blockers Pharmacological properties: Desloratadine syrup is a non-sedating antihistamine. It has an anti-allergic effect that begins within 30 minutes of administration and lasts throughout the day. The preparation does not affect the central nervous system and does not cause anticholinergic and sedative effects (does not cause drowsiness). Food intake and alcohol do not alter the pharmacological properties of the preparation. Desloratadine syrup eliminates or significantly alleviates manifestations of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, itching in the nose, runny nose, itching and redness around the eyes, tearing. In case of urticaria, Desloratadine syrup alleviates or eliminates itching and rash on the skin. Indications: Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis; Chronic idiopathic urticaria. Method of administration and dosage: Desloratadine-Normon syrup is indicated in children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Syrup form; Children from 6 to 12 months: 2ml (1mg) of the preparation once a day; Children from 1 to 5 years: 2.5ml (1.25mg) of the preparation once a day; Children from 6 to 11 years: 5ml (2.5mg) of the preparation once a day. Side effects: Observed at placebo level: feeling of fatigue in 1.2%, headache in 0.6%. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation or to loratadine; Pregnancy and lactation period. Overdose: In case of overdose, consult a doctor. Interaction with other drugs: Does not interact with other drugs. Food intake does not affect the effectiveness of the drug. Desloratadine-Normon does not enhance the effect of alcohol on the central nervous system. Storage conditions: The preparation should be stored at a temperature of 2-30C.
