Name - Detri-Drops Vitamin D3 Oral Drops 15000 IU/1ml 10ml #1 Use Detri-Drops is a preparation from the vitamin group, containing cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) as the active substance. Vitamin D3 is produced in human skin under the influence of sunlight, and is also found in several types of food. It aids in the absorption of calcium by the kidneys and intestines and participates in bone formation. Vitamin D3 deficiency is the most common cause of rickets (disruption of bone mineralization process) in children and osteomalacia (insufficient bone mineralization) in adults. Indications The preparation Detri-Drops is used for: • Prophylaxis of rickets (disruption of bone mineralization, mostly caused by Vitamin D3 deficiency) in children and osteomalacia (insufficient bone mineralization, mostly caused by Vitamin D3 deficiency) in adults; • Prophylaxis of rickets in premature newborns; • Prophylaxis of Vitamin D3 deficiency in children and adults in high-risk groups; • Prophylaxis of Vitamin D3 deficiency in children and adults with impaired digestion (malabsorption syndrome) as determined by a doctor; • Treatment of rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults; • As maintenance therapy in adults with osteoporosis; • Treatment of parathyroid gland dysfunction in adults. Contraindications Detri-Drops is contraindicated in the following cases: • Allergy to cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) or any component of the preparation; • Increased calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia); • Increased calcium levels in the urine (hypercalciuria); • Pseudohypoparathyroidism (disorder of parathyroid hormone metabolism); • Renal insufficiency or urolithiasis and predisposition to kidney stone formation; • Increased Vitamin D3 levels in the blood (D hypervitaminosis). Method of administration of Detri-Drops Take the preparation only according to the recommendations of your attending physician. If you have additional questions, consult your doctor. Prophylaxis of Vitamin D3 deficiency in children and adults with malabsorption syndrome 6-10 drops daily (equivalent to 3000-5000 IU of Vitamin D3). Treatment of rickets In newborns, infants, and young children (0 to 5 years old), 2-4 drops are prescribed daily (equivalent to 1000-2000 IU of Vitamin D3). Maintenance therapy for osteoporosis 2 drops daily (equivalent to 1000 IU of Vitamin D3). Treatment of parathyroid gland dysfunction in adults The recommended dosage range for adults is 20-40 drops of Vitamin D3 daily (equivalent to 10000-20000 IU).
