What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - Cyproteronum+Aethinyloestradiolum Pharmacological Group: Hormonal Oral Contraceptives Indication: Contraception in women with signs of androgenization; hyperandrogenic conditions dependent on androgens in women (including juvenile acne with accompanying seborrhea, inflammatory signs and nodule formation (Acne papulopustulosa, Acne nodulocystika); androgenetic alopecia and mild forms of hirsutism. Dosage and Administration: The preparation is taken orally once a day. The dragees should be swallowed whole with a small amount of liquid. The time of intake is not important, however, it should be at the same time every day, preferably after breakfast or dinner. Administration of the preparation begins on day I of the cycle, during which the dragee for the corresponding day of the week is used from the calendar pack. Daily intake of the preparation is carried out by using dragees from the calendar pack sequentially in the direction of the arrow indicated on the foil until all dragees are used. After using all 21 dragees from the calendar pack, the intake of the preparation is stopped for 7 days, during which a menstrual-like bleeding occurs. After 28 days of taking the preparation (21 days of use and 7 days of break), i.e., on the same day of the week as at the beginning of the treatment course, continue taking the preparation from the next pack. If the patient was taking another contraceptive, then the intake of the preparation should be started on the day after taking the last dragee of the previous preparation, but not later than the next day after the usual 7-day break (for preparations containing 21 dragees), and then according to the scheme described above. If the patient takes a previous contraceptive daily for 28 days, the preparation should be started after taking the last inactive dragee. If a woman has used a postcoital contraceptive ("mini pill"), the transition to taking the preparation is possible without a break. When using injectable forms of contraceptives, the preparation should be started on the day the next injection is due. In all cases, an additional barrier method of contraception must be used during the first 7 days of taking the dragees. After abortion in the I trimester of pregnancy, the patient can start taking the preparation immediately. In this case, there is no need to use an additional method of contraception. After childbirth or abortion in the II trimester of pregnancy, the preparation should be started on the 21st-28th day; if taken later, then an additional barrier method of contraception is necessary for the first 7 days of using the dragees. If a woman has had sexual intercourse between childbirth or abortion and the start of taking the preparation, pregnancy must first be ruled out, or she must wait for her first menstruation. If, for some reason, the patient missed a dragee at the usual time and less than 12 hours have passed since the scheduled time, the contraceptive effect of the preparation continues, and the missed dragee should be taken as soon as possible, and the next dragee should be taken at the scheduled time. Thus, it is possible to take 2 dragees within 24 hours. When more than 12 hours have passed since the scheduled time, the missed dragee should be taken immediately, and then the course continues as usual. In addition, additional barrier methods of contraception should be used for the next 7 days, as the contraceptive effect of the preparation decreases during this period. If there are less than 7 dragees left in the pack, the preparation should be taken from the next pack without interruption. Taking Diane 35 is recommended to continue at least until the symptoms of the disease disappear and for an additional 3-4 cycles after symptom normalization.
