What is it?
Composition: Xylometazoline Indications: • Acute rhinitis of viral or bacterial origin; • Acute allergic rhinitis; • Pollinosis; • Acute sinusitis or exacerbation of chronic sinusitis; • Eustachitis; • Otitis media (as part of combination therapy to reduce swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa and restore Eustachian tube patency); • To facilitate rhinoscopy. Dosage and Administration: Dridrof is used for nasal instillation. 0.05% nasal drops in children aged 2 to 6 years: 1-2 drops in each nostril 1-2 times a day. Not more than 3 times a day. 1 drop of Dridrof 0.05% nasal drops contains 0.025 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride. 0.05% nasal drops in children aged 6 to 12 years: 1-3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day. Not more than 3 times a day. 1 drop of Dridrof 0.05% nasal drops contains 0.025 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride. 0.1% nasal drops in adults and children over 12 years of age: 2-3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day. Not more than 3 times a day. 1 drop of Dridrof 0.1% nasal drops contains 0.05 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride. The preparation should not be used for more than 7 days. Use the protective ring to prevent spillage of the vial contents. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or other components of the preparation, atrophic rhinitis, transsphenoidal hypophysectomy (in history), surgical intervention on the meninges (in history), arterial hypertension, severe atherosclerosis, tachycardia, increased intraocular pressure, angle-closure glaucoma, hyperthyroidism. Pregnancy and lactation: The use of Dridrof during pregnancy is not recommended. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, in a place protected from light and children. Freezing of the preparation is not allowed. After opening the vial, the preparation is suitable for use for 30 days. Shelf life: 2 years. The preparation must not be used after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Dispensing condition: Available without a prescription.
