What is it?
Composition: Diclofenac sodium. Pharmacological group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Indications: Used for symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammatory processes in cases such as: acute inflammatory joint conditions (arthritis), acute gout attacks; chronic inflammatory joint conditions (chronic arthritis), especially rheumatoid arthritis (chronic polyarthritis); Bechterew's disease (ankylosing spondylitis) and other inflammatory rheumatoid diseases of the spine; acute inflammatory processes developed in degenerative diseases of joints and spine (arthrosis and spondylarthrosis); rheumatism of soft tissues; post-traumatic swelling and inflammation. The given dosage may hinder the release of the active substance, therefore it is not recommended for patients requiring immediate effect. Contraindications: If the patient is allergic to diclofenac or other substances contained in this medication; if the patient has a history of bronchospasm, asthmatic attack, swelling of nasal mucous membranes, or skin reactions associated with the intake of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; impaired blood-forming function of unknown cause; if the patient has active or a history of gastric and/or duodenal ulcers (ulcerative disease) or hemorrhages (2 or more episodes of ulceration or bleeding); gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation in history associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory therapy; cerebral (cerebrovascular hemorrhage) or other active hemorrhages; acute liver or kidney dysfunction; acute heart disease (cardiac insufficiency); if the patient has been diagnosed with heart disease and/or cerebrovascular disease, such as heart attack, infarction, mini-stroke (TIA), or blockage of heart or brain vessels or surgery to clear blocked vessels. Circulatory problems (peripheral arterial diseases); if the patient is a child or adolescent; last trimester of pregnancy. Recommended dosage is as follows: Treatment of rheumatic diseases: The dose of diclofenac should be individualized according to the severity of the disease. The recommended daily dose for adults is 50-150mg. Storage conditions: Store the medication in a dry, light-protected place, inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 25C.
