What is it?
Name - ARTIGO TABLET 20MG+40MG #60 Usage ARTIGO contains two active ingredients – cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate. These substances belong to different groups of medicines. Cinnarizine is a calcium antagonist, dimenhydrinate is an antihistamine. Both substances reduce the symptoms of dizziness (a feeling of spinning or "turning") and nausea. The simultaneous use of both substances is more effective than their separate use. ARTIGO is used in adults to treat symptoms of dizziness of various origins. Dizziness can have several different causes. Taking ARTIGO will help you with difficulties in performing daily activities caused by dizziness. Contraindications Do not take ARTIGO if: - You are allergic to cinnarizine, dimenhydrinate or diphenhydramine or any of the other ingredients of this preparation (listed in the composition); - You are under 18 years of age; - You are allergic to any other antihistamine (such as astemizole, chlorpheniramine, and terfenadine, which are used as anti-allergy agents). Do not take this preparation without a doctor's advice; - You have angle-closure glaucoma (a specific type of eye disease); - You have epilepsy; - You have increased pressure in the brain (e.g., due to a tumor); - You abuse alcohol; - You have prostate problems that cause urinary retention; - You have impaired liver or kidney function. Dosage and administration Always take this preparation exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dosage The recommended dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day, with a small amount of liquid, after meals. The tablet should be swallowed whole without chewing. Usually, ARTIGO is used for 4 weeks. The need for longer-term use of ARTIGO will be determined by a doctor. Storage The preparation does not require special storage conditions. Keep out of reach of children.
