What is it?
Composition: Dimethyl sulfoxide-100ml. Indications: As part of complex therapy: Diseases of the musculoskeletal system: Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease), deforming osteoarthritis (with damage to para-articular tissues), reactive synovitis, limited scleroderma, nodular erythema, discoid lupus erythematosus, tinea pedis, keloid scars, thrombophlebitis, alopecia, eczema, streptoderma, erysipelas, bruises, ligament sprains, traumatic infiltrates, purulent wounds, burns, shingles, trophic ulcers, acne, furunculosis; in plastic surgery of the skin - preservation of skin homotransplants. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, severe hepatic and/or renal failure, angina with pronounced atherosclerosis, glaucoma, cataracts, stroke, coma, myocardial infarction, pregnancy, lactation. Not indicated for children under twelve years of age. Usage and Dosage: External, by application and irrigation (washing). Gauze wipes are moistened with a solution of the required concentration and applied to the affected areas for 20-30 minutes. Polyethylene film and cotton or linen fabric are placed over the wipes. The duration of treatment is 10-15 days. For the treatment of erysipelas and trophic ulcers - 30-50% aqueous solution 3 times a day, 50-100ml each time. For eczema, streptoderma - 40-90% aqueous solution compresses. For pain, for local anesthesia - 25-50% aqueous solution compresses 2-3 times a day, 50-100ml each time (depending on the area to be treated). For facial skin and other very sensitive areas, use a 10-20-30% aqueous solution. In plastic surgery of the skin, a 5% solution in Ringer's solution is used as a preservative for skin homotransplants. Less concentrated solutions are used for processing purulent-necrotic and inflammatory foci and cavities. Possible Side Effects: Allergic reactions, contact dermatitis, erythematous rash, dry skin, mild burning, itchy dermatitis. If any of the side effects occur, including those not listed in this instruction, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Overdose: Symptoms, intensification of dose-dependent side effects. Treatment - symptomatic. Interaction with other drugs: Increases absorption and enhances the action of ethanol, insulin, and other drugs. Compatible with heparin, antibacterial drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Increases the sensitivity of microorganisms to aminoglycoside, beta-lactam antibiotics, chloramphenicol, rifampicin. Griseofulvin; enhances the body's sensitivity to general anesthetics. Special Instructions: Some patients smell garlic in exhaled air. Before use, a test for drug tolerance should be performed. For this, apply dimethyl sulfoxide of the required concentration to the skin with a cotton swab dipped in it: the appearance of hyperemia and pronounced itching indicates hypersensitivity. At storage temperatures of 18C and below, dimethyl sulfoxide crystallizes, which does not affect the quality of the preparation. To melt the crystals, carefully warm the vial containing the preparation in a water bath (water temperature not exceeding 60C). Dosage Form: Concentrate for preparation of solution for external use 99%. In 100ml orange glass bottles with a screw neck, closed with polyethylene stoppers and screw caps. Each bottle, along with the instructions for use, is placed in a cardboard package. Shelf Life: 2 years. Do not use after the expiry date. Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, dark, and inaccessible place for children at a temperature not exceeding 25C. Drug Form: Concentrate for preparation of solution for external use.
