Properties

What is it?

Composition: Propolis Pharmacological action: Antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, wound healing agent. Indications: • Superficial lesions of skin and mucous membranes; • Furunculosis, purulent skin diseases; • Mycosis. • Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, periodontosis, bronchitis; • Gastric and duodenal ulcers, cholecystitis; • Prostatitis. Contraindications: • Individual intolerance to bee products; • Acute eczema. Method of administration and dosage: For superficial skin lesions: A tampon soaked in propolis extract is applied to the wound 1-3 times a day. For fungal skin diseases: The affected area is treated with a gauze tampon soaked in extract diluted 1:10, twice a day. For chronic pharyngitis and tonsillitis: Propolis extract is applied to the tonsils 1-2 times a day for 8-15 days. For chronic tonsillitis: The extract, in the form of an aqueous solution (diluted 1:20), is used for inhalation - 1-2 inhalations per day for 7-10 days. For sinusitis: Cavities are irrigated twice a day for 14 days (propolis extract diluted 1:10 with isotonic sodium chloride solution). For furunculosis: The affected area is treated with a gauze tampon soaked in extract diluted 1:10. For periodontosis: Propolis extract is introduced into periodontal pockets for 5 minutes after deep curettage. For superficial oral mucosal lesions: Propolis extract (15 drops in half a glass of warm water) is used for rinsing 4-5 times a day for 3-4 days. For bronchitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, cholecystitis, cystitis, prostatitis: 15-20 drops of extract dissolved in 30-40ml of warm water are taken 2-3 times a day, 20 minutes before meals. Side effects: When using propolis alcoholic extract, itching, redness of the skin, rash may develop. In such cases, the use of the preparation should be discontinued. Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported. Special instructions: In case of allergic reaction, the use of the preparation should be discontinued and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Interaction with other drugs: Not studied; Pregnancy and lactation: The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is possible as prescribed by a doctor. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery: The use of the preparation does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
