What is it?
Streptokinase + Streptodornase 15,000 IU distreptaza® suppositories are used in adults for the treatment of the following conditions: 1. Chronic inflammation of the uterine adnexa. 2. Postoperative infiltrative lesions of the pelvic organs. 3. Endometritis. 4. Acute and chronic hemorrhoids. 5. Perianal abscess and fistula with widespread inflammatory infiltrate. 6. Purulent caudal cysts. distreptaza® suppositories contain two active substances: streptokinase and streptodornase. Streptokinase in suppository form is an activator of plasminogen, a proenzyme found in human blood. Plasminogen is converted to plasmin under the action of streptokinase, which has the ability to dissolve human blood coagulants. Streptodornase is an enzyme that has the ability to dissolve nucleoprotein viscous masses, necrotic cells, or pus. At the same time, it does not affect living cells and their physiological functions. distreptaza® suppositories are used as an independent or adjunctive medication, which by its action enhances the penetration of antibiotics or chemotherapeutic agents into the focus of inflammation. The preparation reduces subjective sensations and significantly shortens the healing period. Suppositories are not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Dosage depends on the type and severity of the inflammatory process. Use as recommended by a doctor. For adults with severe disease, the following is prescribed: 1 suppository 3 times a day for the first 3 days; 1 suppository 2 times a day for the next 3 days; 1 suppository once a day for the next 3 days. For adults with moderate and mild disease, the following is prescribed: 1 suppository 2 times a day for 3 days; 1 suppository once a day for the next 4 days; or 1 suppository 2 times a day for 2 days. An average of 8 - 18 suppositories are prescribed during the course of treatment. The average duration of the treatment course is 7 - 10 days.
