What is it?
Doritricin Tablet Lozenges Composition: Active ingredients: 1 lozenge contains: Tyrothricin 0.5mg Benzalkonium chloride 1.0mg Benzocaine 1.5mg Indications: Infections of the oral cavity and throat accompanied by symptoms such as sore throat and difficulty swallowing. Pregnancy and lactation: No adverse effects of Doritricin on the fetus have been reported, however, during pregnancy and lactation, take Doritricin after consulting a doctor. Dosage and administration: Take the preparation as per the instructions, doctor's or pharmacist's prescription. For additional questions, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dosage: Dissolve 1-2 lozenges in the mouth several times a day, every 2-3 hours. Continue treatment for one more day after symptoms disappear. Overdose: No intoxication facts have been identified when taken as prescribed. Overdosing on lozenges may cause gastrointestinal problems and, especially in children, increase blood methemoglobin levels. Shortness of breath, blueness of lips and fingers may also occur. In case of overdose, consult a doctor. In case of overdose, it is recommended to drink a large amount of water and take charcoal. Similar measures are recommended by a doctor against methemoglobinemia. If you miss a dose: If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose. Dissolve only 1 lozenge and continue taking as prescribed. Possible side effects: Rarely (in 1 out of 1000 patients) Hypersensitivity to the catabolite - benzocaine (aminobenzoic acid) may rarely occur. When used externally, especially in children, and applied to large wounds, blood methemoglobin increases. Shortness of breath, blueness of lips and fingers may also occur. Frequency not known Allergic reactions may occur in sensitive patients to preparations chemically related to benzocaine: penicillin, sulfonamides, sun protection cosmetics, p-aminosalicylic acid. Other side effects: For hypersensitive patients, peppermint oil is recommended (even in case of shortness of breath). Storage conditions: Store at no more than 25 C. Do not dispose of the preparation in drains or household waste. Ask your pharmacist about the disposal of the preparation.
