What is it?
Composition: Each 100 ml contains: Butamirate Citrate 200 mg; Anhydrous Citric Acid, Aspartame, Glycerin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Raspberry Essence, Neohesperidin, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Sodium Benzoate, Tartrazine, Ethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Purified Water q.s. 100 ml. Contains 0.4% w/w Methanol. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antitussive. Indications: For symptomatic treatment of cough of spasmodic, irritative and paroxysmal nature. Dosage and administration: Children from 6 years of age: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) - once every 6 hours (40 mg per day). Adults: 2 teaspoons (10 ml) once every 6 hours (80 mg per day). Side effects: Exanthema, gastrointestinal disorders, diarrhea or dizziness. In case of side reactions, symptoms disappear immediately after discontinuation of the preparation. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to active substances or tartrazine. Both syrup and drops contain aspartame, therefore they are contraindicated in patients with phenylketonuria. Interaction with other drugs: Dodos syrup contains tartrazine, due to its alcohol content, its administration is not allowed in patients taking disulfiram. Special instructions: In patients with pulmonary edema, this preparation should be taken with caution. Although no teratogenic effect has been observed, treatment with this preparation is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy. Pregnancy and lactation: Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking the preparation. Overdose: As in all cases of overdose, standard procedures should be followed and medical attention or the nearest hospital should be sought. Appearance and packaging: Packaging with a volume of 150 ml. Storage conditions: Store in the original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding 30C, out of reach of children. Expiration date: Indicated on the packaging. Dispensing conditions: Over-the-counter.
