What is it?
Composition: The active substance is donepezil hydrochloride. Indication: Used for the treatment of symptoms of dementia in individuals diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Contraindication: If the patient is allergic to the active substance or any of the excipients, pregnancy. Pregnancy and lactation: If the patient is pregnant, breastfeeding, suspects pregnancy, or plans to become pregnant, the treating doctor or pharmacist should be informed. The use of Donepezil Polfarmex during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Recommended dosage: Adult and elderly patients: The initial dose is 5mg per day (taken once daily). The medication is taken orally in the evening, just before bedtime. The daily dose of 5mg should be continued for one month to allow the doctor to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. After a one-month assessment of clinical therapy with a 5mg dose, the doctor may increase the dose to 10mg per day (taken once daily). The recommended maximum daily dose is 10mg. Doses higher than 10mg have not been evaluated in clinical studies. If the patient feels that the effect of Donepezil Polfarmex is too strong or too weak, they should consult their treating doctor. Storage: Store in a place inaccessible and invisible to children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The expiry date is considered the last day of the month indicated.
