What is it?
Active substance: travoprost + timolol Clinical-pharmacological group: Combined preparation for glaucoma treatment. Indications: Reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta-blockers or prostaglandin analogs. Dosage and administration: For use in adults, including the elderly. The dose is one drop of DUOTRAV solution in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) once daily, in the morning or evening. Administration should be at the same time each day. After administration, nasolacrimal occlusion or gentle eyelid closure is recommended. This can reduce the systemic absorption of the administered drug and decrease systemic side effects. If more than one topical ophthalmic medicinal product is used, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart. In case of a missed dose, treatment should be continued with the next scheduled dose. The dose should not exceed one drop in the affected eye(s) per day. If switching from another anti-glaucoma agent to DUOTRAV, the administration of the other drug should be discontinued and treatment with DUOTRAV should be continued the next day. Pediatric patients: The efficacy and safety of DUOTRAV eye drops in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and its use in this age group is not recommended until further data become available. Contraindications: * Hypersensitivity to travoprost, timolol, or any of the excipients. * Bronchial asthma.
