- Contains Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg. Other components: magnesium stearate, povidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium starch glycolate, microcrystalline cellulose. Indications: - Arterial hypertension – used as monotherapy or (as needed) in combination with other antihypertensive drugs; reduces cardiovascular and coronary mortality (including sudden death) in hypertensive patients. - Angina pectoris. The drug can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antianginal agents. - Maintenance therapy – for secondary prevention of myocardial infarction. - Cardiac arrhythmias (sinus tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular extrasystoles). - Hyperthyroidism (to reduce heart rate). - Prophylaxis of migraine attacks. - Functional disorders with palpitations. Dosage and administration Take Egilok strictly as prescribed by your doctor. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for any clarification. Tablets can be taken independently of food intake. If necessary, the tablet can be divided in half. The dose should be individually selected to avoid pronounced bradycardia. Recommended doses: Hypertension: Initial dose for moderate or mild hypertension is 25-50 mg twice daily (morning and evening). If necessary, the daily dose can be gradually increased to 100 mg twice daily or another antihypertensive agent can be added. Angina pectoris: Initial dose is 25-50 mg 2-3 times daily. Depending on the effect, this dose can be increased up to 200 mg per day or another antianginal drug can be added. Maintenance therapy after myocardial infarction: Usual dose is 50-100 mg twice daily (morning and evening). Arrhythmia: Initial dose is 25-50 mg two or three times daily. If necessary, the daily dose can be increased up to 200 mg or another antiarrhythmic agent can be added. Hyperthyroidism: Usual daily dose is 150-200 mg per day in 3-4 divided doses. Functional disorders with palpitations: Usual daily dose is 2X50 mg (morning and evening); if necessary, it can be increased to 2X100 mg. Prophylaxis of migraine attacks: Usual daily dose is 2X50 mg (morning and evening); if necessary, it can be increased to 2X100 mg. Special patient groups: Dose adjustment is not required in patients with kidney disease. In liver cirrhosis, dose adjustment is usually not required due to low binding of metoprolol to plasma proteins (5-10%). In severe liver failure (e.g., after shunting surgery), metoprolol dose reduction may be necessary. Dose adjustment is not required for elderly patients. Administration of the drug to children is not recommended (no clinical experience). If you think Egilok has a very strong or very weak effect, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Pregnancy and lactation: Consult your doctor before taking any medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Special precautions Egilok should be used with particular caution in the following conditions: - Cardiac conduction (atrioventricular) disorders; - Bradycardia (slow heart rate); - Peripheral circulatory disorders. Egilok should be withdrawn gradually by stepwise dose reduction over 14 days. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment may worsen angina symptoms and increase the risk of coronary events. Правила приема и дозы Эгилок принимайте только по назначению врача. По любым вопросам обращайтесь к врачу или фармацевту. Таблетки можно принимать независимо от приема пищи. При необходимости таблетку можно разделить пополам. Доза должна подбираться индивидуально во избежание выраженной брадикардии. Рекомендуемые дозы: Гипертензия: Начальная доза при средней или умеренной гипертензии составляет 25-50 мг два раза в день (утром и вечером).
