What is it?
Composition: Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension contains: 200.00mg Enterofuryl; Excipients: Sucrose, Ethanol 96%, Carbomer, Banana water, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate, Sodium hydroxide, Anhydrous citric acid, Purified water. Indications: The preparation is an intestinal anti-infective agent. Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension is used as an adjunct to rehydration in children aged 2 years and above and adults for the treatment of acute infectious diarrhea. Treatment does not exclude dietary measures and rehydration if necessary. Contraindications: The patient should inform the treating physician if they are taking other medications, have any chronic diseases, metabolic disorders, hypersensitivity to preparations or allergies to any of them. Allergy to nitrofurans or other ingredients of the preparation; not to be used in infants, newborns (0-1 month) and children under 2 years of age. Taking Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension with food and drink: In case of diarrhea, follow instructions regarding food intake. Pregnancy and lactation: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking the preparation. It is best to avoid using the preparation during pregnancy. During lactation, the preparation can be taken for a short period of treatment. Effect on ability to drive and use machinery: This preparation does not affect driving or operating machinery. Method of administration of Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension: The preparation should be taken according to the enclosed instructions. If the patient thinks that the effect of the preparation is too weak or too strong, they should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Instructions for use of the preparation: Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension is intended for oral use. Before using the preparation, shake the Enterofuryl bottle well. A 5ml measuring spoon (provided in the box), divided into 2.5ml doses, should be used for dosing. Dosage: The preparation is used in children aged 2 years and above and adults. Children from 2 years of age: 5ml three times a day. Adults: 5ml four times a day. Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment is limited to 7 days. Storage conditions: Enterofuryl 200mg-5ml oral suspension should be stored protected from light, out of reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 30C. Do not freeze. It should be used within 14 days of the first opening of the bottle. Dispensing category: Pharmaceutical product group III, available without prescription.
