Essentiale MAXI Capsules 600mg Composition: Active substance: Phospholipids from soya beans, containing 76% (3-sn-phosphatidyl) choline - 600 mg. Other substances: Hard fat (Witepsol W35); refined soybean oil; α–tocopherol; hydrogenated castor oil; hard fat (Witepsol S55), ethanol 96%; ethyl vanillin; 4-methoxyacetophenone. Capsule shell: Gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide, black (E172); iron oxide, yellow (E172); iron oxide, red (E172). Therapeutic indications: It is used to improve subjective complaints of liver damage caused by unhealthy diet, exposure to toxic substances or hepatitis, such as decreased appetite or a feeling of heaviness in the right upper abdomen. Dosage: Always take this medicinal product exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. Unless prescribed otherwise by your doctor, the usual dose is: Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 capsule 3 times a day. Use in children and adolescents There is insufficient data on the use of Essentiale MAXI in children under 12 years of age, therefore Essentiale MAXI is not taken by children under 12 years of age. The capsules are taken whole, without chewing, during meals and with sufficient liquid (a glass of water). There is no time limit for the duration of use of this medication. Pregnancy and lactation: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Soybean products are widely used for human consumption and there is no data so far on any risks during pregnancy. However, sufficient studies have not been conducted. Therefore, the use of this medicinal product is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Warning: Essentiale MAXI contains soybean oil. Since the preparation contains soybean oil, in rare cases it can cause severe allergic reactions. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to peanuts or soy.
