In therapy Prevention and treatment of capillary bleeding of any origin and localization: hematuria, vomiting of blood, melena, nosebleeds, gum bleeding. In gynecology Metrorrhagia, primary menorrhagia or menorrhagia caused by an intrauterine contraceptive device, in the absence of organic pathology. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. - Acute porphyria. Special warnings and precautions If the drug is prescribed to reduce excessive and/or prolonged menstrual bleeding and the desired effect is not achieved, it is necessary to rule out the presence of all other pathologies that can cause such a condition. The drug contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this drug. Pregnancy and breastfeeding There are no clinical data on the use of the drug in pregnant women. Animal studies have not revealed any direct or indirect toxicity affecting pregnancy, embryonic, fetal and/or postnatal development. Use during pregnancy should be done with caution. Due to the lack of data on the drug's ability to penetrate breast milk, breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment. If breastfeeding continues, the use of the drug should be discontinued. Dosage and administration The drug is administered at a dose of 250-500 mg 3-4 times a day intramuscularly, or intravenously 125-250 mg 3-4 times a day. If necessary, the single dose can be increased to 750 mg, and for parenteral administration to 375 mg. In children, it is administered at a dose of 10-15 mg/kg/day in equally divided doses 3 times a day. Local application of the injection solution is possible; a sterile tampon soaked with Etamsylate is placed on the wound. Storage conditions Keep out of reach of children. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in a place protected from light and moisture. Shelf life 5 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging and blister.
