Pharmacological Properties: PHARYNGOSEPT is a local antiseptic agent used in ENT practice and dentistry. It exhibits bacteriostatic action against Streptococcus haemoliticus, Streptococcus viridans, Pneumococcus, and pathogenic microorganisms that cause inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract. The preparation also has a moderately expressed antistaphylococcal effect. PHARYNGOSEPT does not cause gastrointestinal dysbacteriosis. Indications: PHARYNGOSEPT is used as monotherapy for the local treatment of bucco-pharyngeal infections to avoid the use of chemotherapeutic antimicrobial agents and thus prevent the formation of possible resistant forms of microorganisms. For the treatment of acute infections of the oral cavity and throat (pharyngitis, gingivitis, stomatitis, angina, as well as post-tonsillectomy and post-tooth extraction conditions). Dosage and Administration: Adults are prescribed 10 mg PHARYNGOSEPT 3-5 tabs. (30-50 mg) per day after meals (15-20 minutes after) for 3-4 days. Rapid swallowing of PHARYNGOSEPT is not allowed, as the tablet should be gradually dissolved in the oral cavity. After taking the preparation, it is recommended to refrain from consuming food and liquids for 2-3 hours. Side Effects: None reported.
