What is it?
Combined medication Farkosolvin composition: 5 ml syrup: Ambroxol - HH HCL 15 mg, Guaifenesin - 30 mg, Dehydrated Theophylline - 60 mg. 1 capsule: Ambroxol HH HCL 15 mg, Guaifenesin 100 mg, Dehydrated Theophylline 50 mg Action: Farkosolvin syrup or capsule contains Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Theophylline, whose synergistic action leads to mucolytic, expectorant, and bronchodilating effects. Ambroxol, a mucolytic agent, acts on the structure of mucopolysaccharides in mucus, reduces their viscosity, and promotes mucus secretion from the respiratory tract. Guaifenesin reduces the adhesiveness and surface tension of respiratory secretions, enhances the secretion of respiratory tract secretions and sputum, and has a demulcent effect on tracheobronchial sputum. Theophylline, the third component of Farkosolvin, effectively relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi, stimulates the respiratory center, enhances diaphragmatic contraction, and improves mucociliary clearance of bronchopulmonary pathways. Clinically, Farkosolvin reduces respiratory tract spasms and cough caused by secretions, prevents the formation of thick mucus plugs, reduces the frequency of frequent, non-productive coughs, and makes them productive. These effects contribute to the high efficacy of Farkosolvin in various types of coughs, in many cases of respiratory diseases in both adults and children.
