What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - comb. drug Clinical-pharmacological group: Obstetrics, gynecology → Antiprotozoal, antimicrobial and antifungal agents for local use Description: One vaginal suppository contains: Metronidazole ................................. 300.00 mg Miconazole nitrate ................................................... 100.00 mg Neomycin sulfate ......................................................... 48.80 mg Centella asiatica .................................................................... 15.00 mg Polymyxin B sulfate ................................................ 4.40 mg Excipients .................................................................... up to 2.8 g Mechanism of action: Antibacterial, antifungal, trichomonacidal, amebicidal, antilambliasis; accelerates the epithelial regeneration process of the vaginal mucosa. Indications Feminitt is used locally for non-specific and specific vulvovaginitis, when the vaginal mucosa is damaged by various microorganisms - bacteria, fungi, trichomonads; also for dysbacteriosis caused by changes in vaginal pH - bacterial vaginosis. Instructions for use: Feminitt is used intravaginally, one suppository before bedtime, daily for 6-10 days. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor. Remove one vaginal suppository from the blister and insert it deep into the vagina. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation or imidazole derivatives. First trimester of pregnancy, breastfeeding, blood dyscrasias, epilepsy or other CNS disorders. Warnings: Feminitt vaginal suppositories do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. Its components may damage latex products, including condoms or vaginal diaphragms. Alcohol consumption should be prohibited during treatment or for at least 48 hours after use. The sexual partner of a patient with trichomoniasis should take metronidazole orally. Vaginal douching or tampon use is not recommended during treatment. Precautions: The preparation should be used with caution in patients with severe liver dysfunction, central or peripheral nervous system disorders, and acute blood dyscrasias. Interactions with other drugs: Due to the metronidazole content and its vaginal absorption, the following interactions may occur: Alcohol: Disulfiram-like effects. Oral anticoagulants: Increased anticoagulant effect is noted. Phenytoin: Possible increase in plasma phenytoin levels and decrease in metronidazole levels. Phenobarbital: Decreased plasma metronidazole levels are noted. Disulfiram: Antabuse effect. Lithium: Increased plasma lithium levels and risk of increased toxicity. Side effects: No serious side effects were observed during vaginal treatment with Feminitt. Due to the metronidazole in the suppository, the following effects are expected: Very common (frequency > 1%) - headache, pruritus, abdominal pain, nausea, dysmenorrhea, rash, vulvovaginal burning, diarrhea, mastalgia, uterine bleeding; Rare (frequency < 1%): General - allergic reactions, back pain, flu-like syndrome. Gastrointestinal system: anorexia, constipation, dyspepsia, flatulence, gingivitis, vomiting. CNS: depression, dizziness, insomnia. Respiratory system: bronchial asthma, rhinitis. Skin and its appendages: acne, sweating, urticaria.
