What is it?

Name - Fixhaler capsule with inhalation powder 12mcg+100mcg +inhaler device #60 What is Fixhaler and what is it used for? • Fixhaler contains formoterol and fluticasone as active substances. Formoterol belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators, which relax the muscles of the airways in the lungs and cause them to widen. Fluticasone belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids and, because it has an anti-inflammatory effect, it relieves breathing problems by reducing swelling and sensitivity in the walls of the airways in the lungs. • Fixhaler is available in a package containing 60 inhalation capsules, containing 12 mcg of formoterol fumarate and 100 mcg of fluticasone propionate, and includes 1 single-use inhalation device (the capsule is pierced inside the device and the powder in the capsule is inhaled into the lungs). How is Fixhaler used? • Instructions for correct use and dosage/frequency of administration: For asthma treatment: Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: 1 inhalation twice daily (inhalation into the lungs) Fixhaler 12 mcg / 100 mcg inhalation powder, hard capsule • Route and method of administration Fixhaler is administered by inhalation only. Inhale the powdered medicine into your lungs through your mouth (inhalation: breathing in medicine through your mouth, using the device). If Fixhaler is prescribed for a child under 18 years of age, administration should be supervised by an adult who can understand how to use Fixhaler. It is important to use Fixhaler regularly to get the full benefit. Do not stop treatment even if you feel better. Do not change the dose of the medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not forget! Keep the monodose inhaler dry. Keep it closed when not in use. Never exhale into the monodose inhaler device.
